Buenos Aires, Argentina
Since taking office, Milei’s government has unleashed strong social and political tensions across Argentina. The streets of Buenos Aires have become stages of protest and popular resistance. This photographic record traces the first year of his presidency: from his inauguration and the rallies at Luna Park and Parque Lezama to the demonstrations against the “Ley Bases,” the veto of the pension mobility law, general strikes, and university marches.

Palestina

Palestina
The Israeli occupation has shaped the daily dynamics of life in Palestine, imposing a constant state of restriction and repression. Thousands of Israeli soldiers are deployed across the West Bank, carrying out daily raids on cities and villages that leave a steady toll of injuries, deaths, and arrests without judicial orders. Everyday life unfolds under a regime that limits movement and restricts access to essential resources. Yet, Palestinians continue to resist.

Palestina
Built by the State of Israel in 2002, the wall cuts through Palestinian villages, fields, and cities, fragmenting everyday life. Stretching over 750 kilometers, it separates families, destroys local economies, and concretely embodies the policy of apartheid.

Myanmar
Myanmar experienced more than two decades of isolation under the military regime established in 1962, with strict restrictions on the entry of foreigners. In the late 1990s, the country began a gradual reopening. These photographs were taken in 2017.

Laos
Between 1964 and 1973, Laos became, per capita, one of the most heavily bombed countries in history. In the context of the Vietnam War, the United States carried out a clandestine air campaign that dropped more than 2 million tons of bombs, a figure that exceeds the total used during World War II. The attacks wiped out entire villages and struck the very places where civilians sought protection: caves, natural galleries, and improvised underground shelters. Amid that daily hell, Ms. Phengsy Sommany served in the Xieng Xeu defense force, a unit of 25 women and 30 men responsible for guarding access points, protecting the community, and operating anti-aircraft positions. “Bombs fell every day,” she recalls. “The people entrusted us with their own lives.” Phengsy was trained to handle weapons, camouflage artillery pieces in the vegetation, and keep round-the-clock watch shifts. Her story illustrates the level of civilian organization that allowed many Lao communities to resist under constant fire in a war that the United States never officially declared, but whose lasting consequences are still felt today.
