Bio

Cristian Pirovano was born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in 1978. He is a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. He studied Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires. For more than two decades, he has documented social and political conflicts in South America and Palestine, where he has spent over ten years capturing everyday life under occupation. Throughout his career, he has produced coverage for media outlets in Argentina and abroad, sharing social and political stories with international audiences.

Co-director of Yallah Yallah (2018), the first official co-production between Argentina and Palestine. He is currently completing post-production on the documentary Más grandes que Israel, co-directed with Ismael Al Bes, and the photography book Del otro lado del muro, the result of more than a decade of documentary work in Palestine.
