Bio

Cristian Pirovano (Buenos Aires, 1978) is an Argentine photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. He studied Sociology at the University of Buenos Aires and has over twenty years of experience documenting social and political conflicts in South America and Palestine, where he has carried out extensive work on daily life under occupation. He has collaborated with a wide range of national and international media outlets.

In 2018, he co-directed Yallah Yallah, the first official co-production between Argentina and Palestine, which was screened in theaters and festivals in more than 25 countries. He is currently in the final stages of post-production of the documentary Bigger than Israel, co-directed with Ismael Al Bes, and is preparing the publication of the photography book On the Other Side of the Wall, the result of more than a decade of documentary work in Palestine.
